About this listen
Big-city Nate isn’t about to fall for a small-town man.
An unassuming town. A huge development deal. Nate has it all figured out, until his car breaks down and threatens to ruin everything. The local mechanic has a way with his hands that fantasies are made of, but Nate can’t afford to get wrapped around Ian’s finger.
A few sweaty nights tangled up together should be enough to scratch the itch, and the chemistry between them is hot enough to burn. But there’s something about the mechanic that keeps Nate coming back for more.
When Nate’s boss puts the pressure on, he’ll need to decide if he’s ready to risk everything. Can he give up the deal of a lifetime for a chance at love? Or, will he sell the town and sell out his heart along with it?

©2020 Special Fiction Books (P)2020 Special Fiction BooksThe chemistry in all the pairings was off the charts. The plots we're thick with angst, intrigue and gooey moments that make listeners/readers swoon.
The narration was good. His pacing was good, though there were times it was a bit spaced out. his tone and passion were excellent. He brought oomph to his scenes. His was always crisp and clear and I found no problem in keeping with the story and staying interested.
Reynolds brought life to the story, and I would list to his narration again.
Filled with humour and spiciness

Home Truths: Really enjoyed Nate & Ian's story, the progression from a stranger (Ian) helping Nate with his car to them becoming friendly, then even more 'friendly' 😉, to developing a relationship was fun to listen to. There is a bit of tension considering that Nate has a timeline, but it works out in the end.
Crossroads: This story had a bit more of a serious tone, tad more angst, but also quite good. Corey has been abandoned by his abusive and shady BF; Brady steps in to help. In the end, the small town helps Corey to feel safe and belong. While I wasn't prepared for the more serious tone of this story, I did enjoy it.
Making Peace - A second chance, hurt/comfort story. Max and Carson were really good together, (this time around), once Carson understood who he was. Sweet story.
Healing His Heart - This, IMO was the most emotional? Tyler and Patrick were so good together, however Patrick had used a bit of subterfuge to be with Tyler, so when that unraveled it was painful. But, a good story overall :)
Richard Reynolds is new to me. I was happy to listen to the stories because he had a good range and characterisation for each character. I had no trouble following the characters or the thread of the stories. I would definitely listen to him narrate other books.

Mind you that all books are cute, low angst stories. Overall they were ok and I enjoyed reading, but I think it would be better listen to them with some time in between, otherwise they all mingle together.
The narrator was good, but I felt like he was not telling a storing but just reading a script. The characters were difficult to distinguished and there was little emotion.
Overall ok
