The wonderful history of the theatre

I remember going to the theatre on a school trip and I have been hooked ever since. This would be a great resource for A-Level Theatre Studies students, as it goes into depth about how theatre evolved over the centuries. There were some really interesting pieces of trivia in the audiobook. My favorite was the origin of the term limelight. Going to the theatre in London is always a joy. There is so much history in the buildings themselves. I have always wondered about the famous actors and actresses who have tread the boards over the years. Therefore, it was a treat to learn about great actors including Sarah Siddons. If you are at all curious about the theatre, then I would recommend this audiobook.
