Summary
Do you feel out of control around food? Do you wonder why you can’t stop eating? Do you fear that you’ll gain weight forever?
How to Beat Extreme Hunger will teach you the way out–so you can live a life that’s free from feeling triggered, guilty, and food obsessed.
Autism and eating disorder recovery coach Livia Sara spent nearly a decade of her life trapped in the golden cage of restriction. From calorie counting to weighing food and tracking minutes exercised, her life revolved around rules and numbers. It wasn’t until she committed to recovery that a new beast was unleashed: extreme hunger.
Just like that, Livia’s hyper-controlled, perfect eating plan transformed into an insatiable hole of hunger. Thoughts about food tugged so hard that the only option was to eat until she felt physically sick…and yet she still wanted to eat more food.
If you resonate with Livia’s story, you’re not alone. Unlike most diet recovery methods that leave you feeling deprived and misunderstood, How to Beat Extreme Hunger takes a gender-inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming approach to making peace with food and your body.
In this book, you will learn:
- The science behind extreme hunger
- Why extreme hunger usually happens when you are “weight restored”
- How to tell the difference between true hunger and emotional eating
- The difference between extreme hunger and binge eating disorder
- How to stop bingeing at night
- How to heal digestive issues in eating disorder recovery
- Hormonal changes that occur in eating disorder recovery
- BONUS: Become trigger-proof and stop feeling guilty around food
- BONUS: Free yourself from labels, including those instilled on you by diet culture
If you want to break free from the cycle of bingeing and enjoy food without losing control, grab your copy of How to Beat Extreme Hunger today!

A must listen to support ed recovery!
This book totally shifted my mindset about extreme hunger. I no longer see it abnormal and something to be afraid of or need to control it, or even worse , ”something I guess I just need to manage and forever be careful not to go overboard”. Now I see it as a reasonable reaction after restriction AND something to most definitely honor! Yes, still anxiety provoking from an eating disorder point of view, but not scary or crazy at all from rational and scientific perspective.
Something that makes all the difference with this book is that it is written by someone who has been through it all. Someone who has had all the same doubts and fears and has come to the other side to encourage others.
So HUGE thank you to Livia! This book was a turning point and I now feel so much easier moving forward. Definitely recommend everyone to read/listen this if they feel lost with their recovery and hunger.
Ps. Listening Livia to read her book by herself was just perfect and brought her story and explanations even more to life!

A fantastic , helpful book . Highly recommend!!
If you or a loved one is struggling with an eating disorder then I cannot recommend this book highly enough!
I could relate to so much that Livia talks about when she explains with such honesty and openness about what she has been through herself and I found it so inspirational to listen to how she got through it.
Livia has done so much research into all the science of eating disorders, she really knows her stuff! I found it fascinating learning all the reasons behind extreme hunger and all the other eating disorder behaviours which Livia explains in such a clear and concise way. I feel that I have so much more understanding of how the body and brain works now and have had so many “light-bulb” moments while listening to this book where things all started to make sense. I feel so much less alone and frightened now too because I know that all that happens during and recovering from an eating disorder is “normal “.
I was especially pleased that Livia read the audio book herself instead of getting someone else to read it like some people do because she has a great way of talking directly to the reader, it felt like she was talking to me personally, offering encouragement, inspiration , help and advice whilst also making me realise that it is only me who has the power to beat my eating disorder.
I will definitely be going back again and again to re-listen to this book , whenever I need a boost to keep on going to full recovery as Livia has proved it is possible !
