Nice concept of story and the first chapter was good. but there was a lack of character progression and I didn't find the humour people had mentioned in other reviews.

the author seems to think he's the next Douglas Adams but his style just doesn't work. the metaphors are flat and boring and the basic set up is just uninteresting with bland characters.
