Unfortunately for me the narrator was off putting and not ideal as felt there was a lot to the content so would be best for me to read rather than listen on this occasion.
Having read another in the Master Your Mind series by Howard Hudson was looking forward to this book as enjoyed his book on Emotional Intelligence. I find a lot of self development books audio can be a good way to listen to the book but there is also the risk I find when not narrated by the author that some of it can get lost in translation from word to voice and that is the case for this audiobook. For me the narrator had a stop start and emphasised certain words is how it felt and that detracted from the listening experience. It was hard to concentrate on the message underneath and tried to overcome the distracting voice, but found it hard to separate speaker from words on this occasion.

This book is a good exploration into how your mind can overanalyze and how it affects you. As this book states it is a double edge sword to overthink that sometimes helps, but often creates incorrect scenarios that affect motivations and even your health. Topics of focus include the importance of state of mindset, identifying triggers as roots of the problem, and taking conscious action to better the course of your reactions. Use this book to find strategies to overcome and build self-confidence instead. You will minimize stress and become more self aware so you can find appropriate solutions.

A great book that likely has some benefits for all of us. I definitely consider myself in the worrier category. The author is clearly very experienced in this subject and gives some great strategies for dealing with different situations. For example, how to deal with past mistakes or traumas that rear their ugly heads from time to time. It has definitely helped with my mindset and to identify my triggers, recognise them and deal with them
