A collection of tips
This book has been reformatted for Audible so this review bears no relation to the paper version.
I read a lot of biographies. From the title of the book I assumed this would be Amy Johnston telling her life story of stunting and passing along knowledge of how to do what she did along the way.
This book is radically different from that. Each chapter (of 15 or so) poses a different question like "How did ypu get started?", "Who inspires you?" or "What sort of diet to you use?". The questions are then answered by the same 15-25 stuntpeople in little bites that are maybe 30 seconds long on average. There isn't really an adequate pause between each.
Makes this book really hard to listen to. You get a chapter of "I do paleo - Bob bobson. I have one splurge day a week - Alice aliceson. I use keto to lose weight then gain it back - Joe Bloggs..." It just goes on and on. Luckily this book is shorter than a lot of podcast episodes so you get over it quickly.
I will say that if I was an aspiring stunt performer then this book is probably a great one to listen to. For anyone else I'd say it's worthless.
