Carl er i Skagen sammen med sin farfar. Bag et af de sorte skure på havnen finder han en stor kasse. Han åbner den, og så råber han: "Farfar! Kom og se, hvad jeg har fundet. Hvad skal vi gøre?" Farfar kikker ned i kassen. "Vi kører hen til politiet," siger han. INGER SIGSGAARD er journalist og forfatter. Hun har gennem 20 år arbejdet som journalist hos Danmarks Radio og i langt de fleste år i børne- og ungdomsafdelingen. Hun har især lavet udsendelser for mindre børn bl.a. "Noget for dig" og "Lille P3" og desuden skrevet en række højtlæsnings- og læse-let-bøger. "Hvad er der galt, Carl?" er første bind i Carl-serien.
