About this listen

A new holiday romantic comedy from best-selling author of Tis the Season for Revenge!

A year ago, Jules stumbled upon the man of her dreams in a bar on New Year's Eve. After a lifetime of watching romantic comedies, she was sure she had found her soulmate. That is, until she learned he has an entire family and blocked him.

A year later, she’s having the worst day she possibly could, leaving her stuck on the sidewalk outside her place in a ballet costume, watching firefighters condemn her house because of a water main break when a little girl grabs her hand and tells her she’s her Christmas wish.

When Nate’s daughter tells Santa all she wants for Christmas is for her dad to marry the real-life version of her favorite doll, he dreads having to tell her the truth. When they run into the spitting image of the doll, ballerina costume and all minutes later, he’s floored to find that it’s his dream woman who disappeared from his life last Christmas.

Nate’s meddling sisters offer his in-law suite and his contracting skills to Jules in exchange for watching his daughter, and he jumps on the opportunity. Now, he has just a few weeks to use Christmas magic to make her realize they are meant to be.

Wow! Sebastian York as Nate was the perfect pairing! Absolutely loved Nate and how much he loved his daughter and Jules. He was literally obsessed with her! Jules - I get she was hurt by a misunderstanding but after too much back and forth from her they finally get their if this was a movie ending

Sweet and Cute

The narrators saved the story. Savannah Peachwood was very god as Jules, who seemed like a wimp at times.
SebYo was great as usual. The best character was Nate’s daughter Sophie, who showed great common sense and was delightful.
BUT my biggest gripe is why did we get 28 chapters of Savannah Peachwood and only 12 chapters of SebYo.

Ok Story !

Wow. I did not expect to love this one as much as I did, but this book was absolute perfection. I loved the narrators and how they brought the story to life. The characters themselves were amazing, and the side-characters were great as well. I really enjoyed this book, every single second of reading was with a big smile on my face. This is a quick and easy read and I can't wait to go back for the first book in the series! I definitely recommend this one!

I love a long audiobook and I enjoy both these narrators so I had high hopes for "If this was a movie". Sadly the book doesn't have much action or storyline, its bland. The concept is good but I find myself wishing for it to be finished and distracted, not desperate to listen and engaged, Its boring and a no from me I'm afraid.

Great narrators, dull storyline

Jules and Nate met on New Year's Eve and spent 2 days together.
They don't see each other for almost a year, because she thinks he has a family and cheated with her.

Thank you Valentine PR for the audiobook.
Opinions from this review are completely my own.

What you can expect:
- single dad/nanny
- cute little girl
- holiday romance
- meddling sisters
- forced proximity
- a lot of chemistry
- spice

I listened to the audiobook narrated in dual style by Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York.
They were a great choice as it felt like they really managed to bring the characters to life.
Though their voices I got inside the story and finished the book in one day.

Even if the story takes place close to Christmas, it can be read any time.
I loved Nate's daughter and his sisters as they helped him "get" Jules to fall in love with him.
She had trust issues that made her stay away from Nate, but it seems that you cannot avoid your soulmate.

This is a sweet story (with some spice) that unfortunately started with a misunderstanding.

Holiday romance with spice
