Dal romanzo è stato tratto il film omonimo, diretto da Vittorio De Sica.

The audio text does not follow the kindle text

As an Italian learner I enjoy listening to the book as I read it. There is an excellent audible function which enables you slow down the reading so you can listen at your own pace. However, this audio version. Is COMPLETELY different from the kindle text - the word order is quite different and a lot of the vocabulary is different plus there are additions and deletions. It seems that Bassani wrote and re-wrote his texts so you can’t listen to this version and read at the same time. I have not found a way to discover which version of the book the audio version follows but it is not the same as the standard kindle version. So I’m returning it as I’m becoming too confused!
