Summary
This place was built for secrets.
No one is who they seem.
Coming to Larkspur wasn’t my idea, but so much has happened in the short time I’ve been here that I can’t possibly leave.
Not without answers.
Not without hope.
Not without a home to return to.

Great second book
Great to have some questions answered from the first book.
Still I am left with more questions.
I like Nina the main character, unsure who is the villain. This book will keep you guessing.
First book is a must before reading this book.
I liked listening to the Narrator.
Well done Molly.

Curious
This story is different from most I have read. The books are only a couple of days in the MC life. Book 2 gives us some answers we had from book 1 but still leaves us with so much more questions. I am very curious why the books are coming to life and what spell binding really means. The book is written in a very YA or Middle grade tone so be prepared for that.

Binding together
This is book two and you definitely need to have read or listened to the first because the author picks up where the last book ended and doesn't waist any time going over things. I enjoyed this because it did explain a few things from the previous but then again we are still left with a lot of questions, I guess I need to get the next book. There is a lot of mystery surrounding the characters and who to trust (still not sure) but as nobody really tells Nina what is going on or what she is supposed to do she is in the same boat. I like the school setting and the unusual plot line, just wish I knew who to trust so I could like that character with out questioning there motives.
Nina doesn't want to be at Larkspur academy but with her father missing and her house burned down she has nowhere else to turn. But is the academy the best place to be? Another fire breaks out, this time at the school and Nina finds another book with the words missing from the pages. Binding the words to the pages is easy compared to knowing who to trust. Why does Gavin want the book? Did her uncle start the fire? Why is her cousin mean one moment and then helping her next? Can she figure it about before somebody gets hurt?
I liked the narrator for the story. She can change her voice to suit the age of the character, making the story easy to follow and enjoyable.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
