It kept things fresh
A lot of books tend to repeat themselves, ans sometimes it's hard for the reader to see how some of the content fits in with the rest. This book, however, is very congruent and has a lot of stories, and it's easy to understand how the storytelling is relevant to the main point of the book - How we can be kind in a consistent way throughout our lives.
