Summary
Amid a sweltering Miami summer, a serial killer is haunting the city. Reporter Ingrid Sorenson is assigned the story and her primary source is brusque detective Rick Gonzalez. The pair clash, but sparks of passion ignite. They risk their jobs to give in to their desire, but mistrust of each other’s career motives wedges them apart. Then Ingrid gets a tip that leads her into the killer’s lair. She and Rick must choose between furthering their careers or rescuing their love. This audiobook contains no explicit scenes or language.

Enjoy this romantic suspense!
A little bit of romance, a little bit f suspense and we have a winning story! I love these kind of books, the ones that have a great mystery as the romance builds and Christina Elliott has given it to me in this one! Ingrid is a journalist that crosses paths with Rick Gonzalez earlier in her career. Now their paths are crossing again with a serial killer on the loose. Rick is trying to track the killer down, and Ingrid is trying to get the scoop. But as these two are together, the chemistry combusts and after a night of passion, there is doubt. And the killer is still on the loose. As danger lurks, and trouble comes, will this couple survive to admit their true feelings? I loved this story. It's a great whodunnit as I tried to determine who to suspect. It's a great romance as these two have a great banter and push pull feel. And the end is satisfying!
Stephanie Sanders is our narrator and she gives a decent performance. A variety of voices, she builds the romance and suspense as the story goes on. There are times that she is a bit monotone though and while distracting, the plot carries her on. I enjoyed the listen and will be watching for more by Christina Elliott.

I loved the narration of Stephanie Sanders, who brings out the characters and plot.
Ingrid is a journalist, who path has crossed with Rick Gonzalez early in her career. Once again their paths are cross again, but this time a serial killer is on the loose. Rick is on the hunt for the killer , and Ingrid is after the story. Oh the chemistry when Ingrid and Rick get together. We have danger around the corner. Will these to admit their true feelings? A great mystery, with romance and steam.

Fast paced
It took me a little bit to get into this story at first and I really don't want to be mean or anything because I admire narrators so much. But the narration was sometimes a bit robotic and it made me stall a little bit.But aside from that Stephanie Sanders portrayed all the characters really well and her accents were excellent,I got used to her way of telling the story and then found the book very intriguing...and easier to listen to as I became accustomed to the flow of the book.
A journalist Ingrid and Cop Rick have a history she ruined one of his cases a year ago and now they are working together to catch a serial Killer.
Working with one another a friendship is formed and their attraction grows along with the danger..but there is miscommunication between them and misunderstanding which has them becoming enemies for a while.
Until the killer sets his sights on Ingrid.
The main premise of this book is the growing romance of Rick and Ingrid and solving the crime that is taking place through-out the book. There is not much steam more fade to black when they get together,I don't mind this it doesn't bother me that there is no description of characters having sexy times. But I know some readers prefer a story that has all the steam and sexy times,so just be open minded when you read or listen to this story.
Christina Elliott's writing is very descriptive and well thought out I did enjoy this story and it is an action packed and thrilling romance.
Very interesting and entertaining.
worthwhile and pleasurable read.
