I have enjoyed this book so much, it is practical, down to earth and easy to listen to. It has made intercessory prayer an exciting thing for me to be involved with, and do on my own. The book is well written and presents intercession in an attractive, important, easy to do fashion. I would definitely recommend this book

I have bought this book twice on Audible (through iTunes and then directly) and also have hard and kindle copies. It is a precious mine of valuable information, delivered with humour and insight, solidly founded on the scriptures (I really value it's sound theology) and in practical experience. I have learned some of its lessons well, but I'm aware that there is much more still to learn. And since prayer is a practical activity, it's good to do it and then come back again to the theory in the light of experience and get fuelled up again, It helps, therefore that the book is so beautifully read by Robertson Dean; it is read with such understanding that it sounds as if the author himself must be reading it.
This is also a very motivating book and has often refreshed and invigorated me when I have had a dry season in prayer.
I first bought the book at least 8 years ago, and keep coming back to it.

The one improvement I would recommend, however, is in the editting (and is common to other titles released by Audible: it would be really helpful if the Audible chapters corresponded to the author's chapters, so that you could easily find where you are in the recording and follow along in the book, or stop at a chapter in the book and pick it up again easily on the recording.

I've read this excellent book twice previously when my prayer life has needed a boost, and this time decided to get it on Audio.

Excellent in depth teaching which is practical, inspirational and accessible to anyone wanting encouragement and direction to pray more effectively.

If you like clear explanations with sound biblical basis, you'll love this book about intercession. In my opinion it is the best on the subject that I have read, (I have both a copy of the paperback as well as audible) and I don't lend my copy out.
