One of the best books I have ever listened to :)
A true delight to start my day and listen to this story, very much of its time.
This should be made into a film would resonate with so many people.

love this book
I found this book easy to listen to and take in I thought the narrator read it well.I think we all forget to be compassionate to ourselves and wouldnt hurt to be a little more compassionate towards others.I am practising the meditations as described in this book and 3quarters of the way through James Doty follow up The secrets of the magic shop in which he Narrates and does the actual meditations in this book soooo relaxing his voice is very soothing would reccomend that book also.

Magical book!
This is an inspirational book. A wonderful story. From a small child with big dreams, in a dysfunctional poverty stricken family to a renowned brain surgeon....and the magic he used to achieve this.

A joy of a book
Inspiring and generous storytelling of how life can be with a little dusting of magic and kindness. Personally I didn’t like the narration but the story over rode it!

Fabulous book.
Although I was already familiar with a lot of the self development principals covered in this book Doty brings it all to life through his open heart and authentic story. Fabulous read
