Summary

“Life is short, and it’s up to you to make it sweet.”~ Sarah Louise Delany

It’s All About Love is a sweet, heartwarming story about how love can happen when you least expect it.

After losing the love of his life, Leo Tucker never thought it would be possible to fall in love again. But then he met Gracie Maxwell, and happiness seemed to be more than just a possibility - it became reality.

Gracie Maxwell had been hurt so many times before her final conclusion: She was never going to let herself fall in love or even get close to it ever again. But then she met Leo.

Leo was kind and considerate and Gracie thought he was pretty darned wonderful, so unlike anyone she had ever known. So there they were, falling in love with each other. Would they choose each other, or would they decide against the second chance they were both afraid of?

The beauty of this love story will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between as you watch them decide their destiny. Will they find the right path to each other’s heart?

Charming and Enjoyable Read

A short romance novel by Marsha Casper Cook filled with relatable characters and a robust series of adventures and misadventures. Very competent narration by Tom Lennon made this audiobook a total pleasure to listen to. It captured my attention from the outset and listening time passed all too quickly. There is an 'old-time' relaxed feel about Tom's narration that creates a sense that you are curled up on a comfortable couch listening to a memorable story. A rare narration pleasure. There are some unique ideas and themes that give the story a unique edge in the genre. I won't mention them to avoid spoilers but the twists and turns are unexpected and fun.

I would have liked there to be a little 'more showing and less telling' in terms of the plot and at times I lost the train of conversation/ action as the changes were a little rapid and not always set up with generous detail. As a result I had to turn back the audiobook a few times. But it is to the author's credit that I was sufficiently taken with the story to take the time to do this. Some emotional encounters were built up and then fell a little flat. A little more development and follow through would have added value. Similarly, I also found the end a little sudden. Most of my comments above are to do with editing. Just a few tweaks would have elevated an already great novel.

All about love

Tom Lennon did a wonderful job of narration. He made this book enjoyable to listen to.

This is a sweet romantic book, in which we meet Leo and Gracie. Leo, a recent widower and Gracie who has been hurt in the past.

It is not a complicated listen. It’s a sweet story for all those hopeless romantics.

Sorry, but it didn't grab me.

I thought this was going to be so good as I love love stories and Paris! What a combo!

Unfortunately it droned on and on until I really didn't care less what happened to either Leo or Gracie.

The narrator was good and did the best that he could with the material he had.

I received a free copy of this book and my opinions are entirely  my own.
