About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
It's OK to be angry about capitalism. It's OK to want something better. Bernie Sanders takes on the 1% and speaks blunt truths about a system that is fuelled by uncontrolled greed, and rigged against ordinary people. Where a handful of oligarchs have never had it so good, with more money than they could spend in a thousand lifetimes, and the vast majority struggle to survive. Where a decent standard of living for all seems like an impossible dream.
How can we accept an economic order that allows three billionaires to control more wealth than the bottom half of our society? How can we accept a political system that allows the super-rich to buy elections and politicians? How can we accept an energy system that rewards the fossil fuel corporations causing the climate crisis? How can we let it happen any longer? We must demand fundamental economic and political change. This is where the path forward begins.
It's OK to Be Angry About Capitalism presents a vision of what would be possible if the political revolution took place. If we would finally recognize that economic rights are human rights, and work to create a society that provides them. This isn't some utopian fantasy; this is democracy as we should know it. Is it really too much to ask?

"Sanders' success today shows that much of America is tired of rising inequality and these so-called political changes and intends to revive both a progressive agenda and the American tradition of egalitarianism." (Thomas Piketty)
"Bernie Sanders has changed US politics forever." (Owen Jones)
"A decent, honest person. It's pretty unusual in the political system." (Noam Chomsky)

There is hope for the future.
Politicians like Bernie, while they are often pushed out of the conversation by the billionaire-funded media, are living proof that there is still hope for democracy. More than just a book, this is a guide on how to bring about fundamental change in our society, from the ground up. Absolutely essential listening.

Well based but only referred to the US.
It's a very well based view on the present situation of the US political and economical situation. For me it's too centered in the States, I would have preferred to see a view on Capitalism Worldwide.

Bernie talks about everything politics does not address lately
A very good book talking about the dangers of viewing our world through an Uber capitalist lenses. We have resigned to saying things like: well, money speaks louder or in the end of the day, we have to make money.
Bernie touches on the importance of governments creating policies to provide a decent life to all its citizens whilst still allowing a free market to operate. To support the development of enterprises whilst taxing proportionately.
It is a re-affirmation for young people that their word matters and their ideals will change our society.

Based but not Socialist
Despite what Bernie says he isn't a Socialist, or if he is he dampens his opinions for an American audience, but I do thing it's good that Americans are willing to vote for a guy who calls himself Socialist even if he isn't

A Good Read
I am no socialist, but BS speaks a lot of sense. He tries to give his solution to the problems in US politics, business and media and accidentally confirms there is an Illuminati!!

What an awesome listen!
So interesting to hear ideas and how they could work. Made my blood boil listening to facts illustrating the redistribution of wealth from the 90% to the 1%! Clear and simple presentation by Bernie … every thing he said seemed logical. Would recommend

If you want to understand what’s happening in America, read this!
A well constructed argument that lays down the threat to democracy from corporate power. Everyone should listen to this
