What an inspiring, honest and at times hard listen. But I could not put it down and will listen again and again.
I can honestly say this is the best audible book I've listened to from start to finish.
Thank you Cicely for gracing us with this wonderful gem into your life and insight of the system we live in before you left this earth.

I could not put the book down so I got the audio too. What a full life she lived, what a history lesson, what a teacher and thank you for the love letter to us ❤️ The reader also does a fantastic job I kept forgetting she wasn’t Miss Tyson

What a phenomenal woman, what a memoir

I feel like words don’t do enough to describe the beauty of this autobiography. And so I will keep it very short and sweet. This book can speak to so many people. Black people, actors, spiritual people, mothers, Caribbean, Phylis goes on.

I personally found this most inspiring from the perspective of an actor and secondly are black woman of Caribbean heritage.

I recommend anyone who can relate to any of the demographics I have listed above to read this book!

I must say I also thoroughly enjoyed the narrators voice.
