Summary
The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Michael J Sandel's, Justice: What's the Right Thing to Do? as read by the author himself.
Considering the role of justice in our society and our lives, Michael Sandel reveals how an understanding of philosophy can help to make sense of politics, religion, morality - and our own convictions. Breaking down hotly contested issues - from abortion, euthanasia, and same-sex marriage to patriotism, dissent, and affirmative action - Sandel shows how the biggest questions in our civic life can be broken down and illuminated through reasoned debate.
Justice promises to take readers - of all ages and political persuasions - on an exhilarating journey to confront today's political and moral controversies in a fresh and enlightening way.

Dandelions is an engaging moral philosopher
Sandra is an engaging moral philosopher and I would recommend this book. Would also recommend searching the web for Sandel videos to get a taste of what is in store in this book.

Broad-scoped, engaging and clear
What did you like most about Justice: What's the Right Thing to Do??
Sandel challenges and engages the listener and also presents a clear, broad picture of the philosophy of modern values. Fascinating, clear and accessible. Sandel cuts through the field to offer a logical walk-through of the philosophy behind the principles of justice. Highly recommended from both an academic point of view, and a personal one. Sandel questions to provoke real thought about your own personal values as a reader, at the same time as remaining clear, balanced and critical in his coverage of the different philosophies and case studies explored.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Uhm... Jeremy Bentham's head? Undoubtedly a character.
Have you listened to any of Michael J. Sandel’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It's more accessible in chunks.

Sandel makes political philosophy not only accessible but relevant. By using modern case studies and playing out the impact of each approach I was able to relate to the subjects and concepts. 👌

An accessible introduction to political philosophy
This is a great, accessible introduction to political philosophy. The author is a great narrator for the books and the book itself is a great way to start thinking about key questions for society and the general polity. I bought this as an accompaniment Michael Sandel's free online course about Justice, for which this book is recommended for extra reading. A great book and a great, engaging recording.
