Disappointing book from a usually strong writer

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Sadly no. I love this writer and her books are usually a thrilling mix of crime and history but this book was a let down. The ending was predictable and dull. I kept waiting for the twist that never came.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

A better ending, although there is a nice detail which makes me look forward to the next one. Hopefully it's better.

Have you listened to any of Barbara Rosenblat’s other performances? How does this one compare?

She's a great reader, I've read many of her books and she always does an excellent job.

Was Killer Look worth the listening time?

Yes and no. Fairstein is a favourite writer so I'll read all of her books but this one is not one of her best.

Disappointing and rather trite end but a fine twist for the next episode I will keep on listening

A let down

I love these characters, have read all the books in the series and was waiting for this to come out.
What a disappointment. Alex Cooper is an extremely professional ADA. But in this story she is off sick. She spent the whole book interfering and jeopardising the police investigation, and generally sulking and being a silly girl. She would never do that. It got a bit tiresome.
Also story was a bit poor. Felt like she rushed this one.
