Guns and garters

I am loving this series, you don't often find a kick-ass operative of the female persuasion and one that can do it while wearing high heels and fighting in a skirt but Davia can. This is the second book in the series and although works as a standalone I would recommend you start with book one and let the action unfold, that way you get to know the characters better. In this book the action continues with more gun fights and even a catwalk. I love the way one minute she is in a gun fight the next she is squeezing into a tight dress. There is more focus on the two men in her life with this book as she struggles with which man to choose but this adds to the drama, action and humour. The mystery of the murdered family is kind of on the back burner with everything going on but does get wrapped up nicely. I am glad the author included the first chapter of the next book because that means there is going to be another book in the series and I can't wait.
Davia is voted onto the ladies board for filling one of the requirements her aunt out in place for her to inherit her millions but it comes with a cost, each member has to walk down the catwalk for a fashion show and to introduce themselves to the rest of the members. As if she needs to introduce herself after her photograph is plastered all over the tabloid magazines, when she is caught kissing the most eligible bachelor. Walking down a runway should be a piece of cake for Top covert operative Davia, right? For a woman more use to carrying guns than diamonds it is anything but easy especially being separated from her team mates. When she witness gun fire in one of her neighbours houses she is once again after a killer, one who had no problems killing an entire family. Can Davia go up against a killer all on her own or has the rich life style made her soft?
I like the narrator. She does some good voices including accents to bring the story and action to life.
