Filled with delicious food descriptions that quite literally had me salivating.
The characters were relatable, realistic and felt like they could be your friends.
There's some painful situations, growth, and lots of laughter as this amazing group of friends find their HEA and cheer each other on.
Wyatt Baker did an amazing job bringing all these different characters to life.

Each book is about different protagonists. There's Miles, the pastry chef, who has a falling out with his producer Evan over a cooking show, as the two of them are an explosive mix.
Then there's Wyatt, who quits his job to take a better-paid job with baseball player Ryan so that he can pay for his grandmother's nursing home.
In the next book, Xander meets Damon. One has inherited land, the other wants to open a restaurant on a farm.
I liked the last book best. It was about Bastian Aquino and his chef Kian, who we have already met in the course of the series and who is very determined. It was really emotional here.
I thought the series got better with each book and Bastian and Kian were the crowning finale.
The series was entertaining and there is something for everyone: hurt/comfort, rich/not so rich, age difference, boss/employee. The protagonists were all likeable, even if it took me a little longer to understand the reason for one or two of the characters' behavior.
Wyatt Baker entertained me for over 35 hours. I liked his voice and his entertaining narration. I could also have listened to him for much longer. He found the right voice for each protagonist and he did a great job of conveying both the mood and the emotions. Wow, what a brilliant narration! Wyatt Baker was simply fantastic and I couldn't have imagined a better narrator for this series!

Book 1: Bite Me
Story = 4.5
Narration = 4 stars
This was a new to me narrator and I think they did a good job. They sounded age appropriate and had a very pleasant reading voice. The expressed all the emotions really well and that helped bring the story to life. I didn't hear any obvious voice change between the 2 MCs but hopefully the narrator gets better throughout the series. He did make a honorable try at changing his voice gor some of the side characters. Overall, I really enjoyed listening to this book.

Bite me - Evan and Miles
I loved how fiery these two were - their chemistry was just insane. Although he was super prickly, I really loved Evan as a character and I could really sympathise with how he came to be so fiercely protective of himself due to his personal history.
Catch me - Wyatt and Ryan
I absolutely loved Wyatt, but I struggled with Ryan a little bit. Although he did redeem himself quite a lot later in the book, some of his behaviour came across a little bit immature at times. I did however love his supportive family links and Wyatt’s as well, which did really add some sweet elements to this story.
Savor me - Xander and Damon
This book is full of demons and this is what I love about it - Xander’s demons over trusting others to see and like his real self and Damon’s over trusting in himself and that he is deserving. This was by far my favourite of the series so far when I read it.
Indulge me - Kian and Bastian
I waited through 3 books to find out just what redeems Bastian in Kian’s eyes - It was worth the wait. I didn’t think that Xander and Damon’s story could be topped, but I think I really loved finding out who Bastian was under that angry and cold façade.

Bite Me (5/5 stars)
Miles and Evan kicked things off with a bang with their enemies to lovers romance, an entertaining and food-centric journey with plenty of ups and downs. I've never been much of a foodie myself, but it was impossible to listen to Miles describe his pastry creations and not want to devour every single one of them. Miles the man was also a complex and interesting person to unravel, and I enjoyed seeing him grow his career in a new direction throughout the book. Miles and Evan had some epic clashes as they tried to merge their conflicting visions for what Pastry by Miles should look like, and their unwanted attraction only made it harder to approach their conversations without bias. I was effortlessly entertained by their bickering, but it was so much better once they got out of their own way and let love take root. Their journey ended up being a lesson in compromise, and what a sweet treat it was to see them salvage their personal and professional relationship for the better.
Catch Me (5/5 stars)
Wyatt and Ryan's story was a tale of two commitment-phobes learning to trust in love. I enjoyed their steamy start and the angst as they tried to walk the line between fake and real dating. Ryan was terrified of Wyatt getting bored and leaving him; Wyatt was in the closet and worried that his beloved Nana wouldn't accept him. Each of them was struggling on their own and not communicating about it, and eventually it reached a catastrophic breaking point. As messy and hard as things were for Ryan and Wyatt, their feelings felt super deep the whole time, and I had faith they'd find a way to work things out. In the background I got to learn a lot about Wyatt's family and I enjoyed seeing their relationships grow in a positive way. Things at Terrior were taking a very unexpected turn, and I was excited to see how it would all shake out in the rest of the series.
Savor Me (5/5 stars)
I knew it was going to take a very special person to win Xander's heart, and Damien embodied all of that and more. The two of them shouldn't have ever met, but a late, rainy night in a vineyard changed the course of their lives forever. Xander's journey was an angstier one, both he and Damien struggling with baggage from their pasts, but that made it all the more rewarding to see them work through it and choose each other. I really enjoyed the entrepreneur storyline too--watching Damien and Xander's restaurant be built from the ground up and then wildly successful on opening day was engaging, interesting, and fun. These two really made me work for the happy ending, but their issues were never with the depth of their feelings, just in the uncertainty surrounding their life together. Once they decided to fully put their trust in each other and let down their walls, everything else unfolded exactly as I was hoping.
Indulge Me (5/5 stars)
It was no secret that Kian and Bastian would be the last couple of this series, but what a messy, chaotic, wonderful journey it turned out to be. I loved getting to see the start of their unconventional professional relationship and all the ups and downs they had as they battled their attraction to each other. Kian's pining was potent, but Bastian was right there with him, just hiding it better with lots of distance and denial. I felt like cheering when Kian finally got to a point where he wasn't willing to push his feelings down anymore, and their chemistry was just as explosive and overwhelming as all that pent up UST made me imagine it would be. Bastian was still the gruff, grumpy head chef he'd been throughout the series, but he was surprisingly caring and sweet towards Kian in private. The giant elephant in the room was how to blend their professional and personal relationships, and though they certainly gave it an effort, it ended up being a disaster. I don't think I've hated anyone in this series as much as I hated Mark, but his schemings never would have worked if Kian and Bastian had a more solid foundation. It sucked to see Bastian and Kian miserable and suffering alone, but their eventual compromise was sweet enough to make up for all of it. I was thrilled by the roles Kian and Bastian crafted to allow them to work together while being open about their love, and that adorable epilogue was the perfect way to close out the series as a whole.

You can expect to get a little heat, some heartbreak and a lot of laughs in this series and while they can all be read as a standalone, the 4th book works so well because you get to see a different side of one of the MC’s who is included in every book as somewhat of an antagonist, and seeing his POV completing changes how you view him as a person and a love interest.
