Critic reviews

;“Well-drawn characters and a wickedly clever plot - you’ll love unraveling this mystery!” (Laura Childs, New York Times best-selling author)

“A mystery with more twists and turns than the scrumptious yarns in the fictitious shop of Lambspun...A clever, fast-paced plot, with a spunky sleuth and a cast of fun, engaging characters...Delivers the goods.” (Margaret Coel, New York Times best-selling author)

“Enjoyable...Series fans will delight in the side action of the regular cast of characters and be on the edge of their seats with a cliff-hanger ending.” (Publishers Weekly)

Overall I enjoyed this harmless little story but the relentless talking about and drinking of coffee became increasingly more irritating! Kelly must have a throat lined with asbestos because she was continually drinking long drafts or great big gulps of piping hot coffee - who does that? Also why would a successful realtor work parttime as a waitress in a cafe when all she seems to do is knit?

Way too much coffee!

I don’t know if it was the narrator or the way the characters were written but they just seemed so childish and overly concerned about running/burning off any extra calories they had eaten during the day. It seemed like the conversations they were having were written by someone who assumed that’s what women talk about, not what women actually talk about. However I only got as far as chapter two and the book may well improve thereafter.

Not for me
