Scott Peterson's behavior had cast a mysterious shadow over the death of his pregnant wife: his alibi on the day of the disappearance was questionable; he admitted to an affair with another woman; and when he was finally charged with capital murder, he had altered his appearance. Almost immediately, the media condemned Scott, even though he maintains his innocence. Is Scott Peterson a victim of circumstantial evidence? Despite the state attorney general's claim of a "slam dunk," the case that has gripped the nation is much more complex, and is yielding even more questions, doubts, accusations, and shocking revelations.

Chilling
This was, in my opinion, a fantastic insight into the murders of Laci & Connor Peterson. The emotional aspect of the killing & how it impacted the lifes of the families involved made me cry. It definitely needs a read if you are into true crime or studying any aspect of criminology. Awesome.

Good read
an easy read ...a very balanced factual account of a tragic event ...my prayers and love go to lacis family and friends ..they got the right man for the crime ..I hope he rots

A family perspective
It was great to hear the account of this case from the perspective of the family. I loved the historical insights surrounding Modesto, and the descriptive writing was wonderful. I felt the pace shifted a gear towards the end, and it felt somewhat rushed - more trial detail would have been good. But on the whole a great read for 'experts' and newcomers to the case alike.

was expecting a lot more
ths went through everything i already knew. felt it shoud have been a bit more personal and more details about lacey and her character and also more details of scotts parent who were absolute nuts. could have been a whole lot more definitely better reading something else or a podcast always gives more details
