Summary

For Christmas, soft-spoken Lady Jenny Windham craves the freedom to pursue her artistic ambitions, though it will mean scandalizing her ducal parents and abandoning all hope of a family of her own. She confides her plans to successful artist Elijah Harrison when he's commissioned to paint a portrait of her small nephews, because assisting Elijah will bring Jenny that much closer to her heart's desire - won't it? Elijah Harrison finds in his unlikely assistant not only an inspiring muse and unappreciated talent, but also a lovely and passionate woman. If Elijah supports Jenny's career, his own professional interests will suffer, but more significantly, he will lose Jenny forever. Both Jenny and Elijah must choose between true love and a lifelong dream. Contains mature themes.

Boring, Boring and Boring.

The Hero is a Maquis's heir, part of large family, but wishing to be an artist, left home in a "Huff" and will only return when he has proves himself
The Heroine is a "want to be" artist, she has dress as a man painted the hero naked. Yet still didn't managed to make a life for herself, not even as an eccentric.
Though the brothers in this family, seem to have a close and supportive relationship. The girls are frustrated, lonely, unfulfilled, complaining individuals , who never seemed to support each other. Through bad luck or curiosity their chastity is non existent, you wonder what their parents were about.
I didn't make it to the end, it was so tedious, I couldn't continue inflicting pain on myself.
I have seen comments that state the Narrator portrays, the girls as whinging, but what else can he do with such material.
