About this listen

It's a private eye’s job to dig up secrets. But what if those secrets turn out to be her own?

It’s been two years since Dinah Collins left the NYPD in disgrace, forced out for digging too deeply into the sudden disappearance of a fellow cop—her brother, Danny. Now, scraping by as a PI, Dinah is hired to find a young woman, Lucy Fisher, who vanished on Halloween, last seen wearing a creepy costume.

As she pursues a deadly trail of clues, Dinah will find she’s faced with a terrible choice: If she can only save one person, Danny or Lucy, who will it be?

Last Seen Wearing is a novel-length, full-cast dramatic production and the latest gripping crime story from internationally best-selling author David Hewson.

Last Seen Wearing is performed by: Laurence Bouvard as Dinah Collins; John Guerrasio as Mike Collins; Stuart Milligan as Tom Fisher; Lorelei King as Caroline Fisher; Martin T. Sherman as Frank Taylor; Vaughn Johseph as Ben Campbell; Lachele Carl as Lenora Parks; Danielle Lewis as Jillian Delano; Thomas Stroppel as Curtis Mason; Paul Panting as Edward Marchant; Adeila Leiro as Rose Martinez; Jared Zeus as Danny Collins; Samantha Dakin as Lucy Fisher. With additional performances by David Brooks, Garrick Hagon, Katie Harper, Antonio Mattera, Isabella Mattera, Oleg Mirochnikov, William Roberts, and Liza Ross.

Never guessed the ending

This was a great weeks listen on the way to work. The plot was complicated, but not too much to listen to whilst driving, and I really loved not guessing the ending. The plot had lots of twists and turns which kept me listening and made me want to tune in the next day

Such a good audiobook, the voice acting was great, the story was really good and kept me guessing, I was trying to guess what's coming next but the direction was so good it kept me guessing. Would love to hear another book like this

An incredibly long slow buikd to nothing. Read the bad reviews first.

I love audio dramas, audiobooks and feature-length audio dramas like this, I love detective-style thrillers and this one had so much potential, but it’s very odd.

The story literally builds up to nothing, there’s no climax at all, no reveal, and no suspense. Well, there is a kind of “reveal” but it is so bland and has nothing dramatic.

Read the bad reviews before you waste your time with this. The bad reviews are accurate. It’s such a long slow build-up to nothing. I love long builds, but this has no suspense and no dramatic reveal and no character development, it’s just a really odd story.

And what’s with the constant references to the weather? It’s like a bad student movie trying to be edgy with some hidden references but has no decent analogy.

Excellent

Listening to these productions with multiple narrators, spatial sound etc. kind of makes me wonder if I can ever return to a book with just one narrator. But as the quantity is quite scarce, I guess I have to. This was an excellent story, and the audio and the sound effects were just awesome! Almost felt like watching a movie without the picture (that sounds boring, but I mean it in a positive way). Loved everything about it! Very sad it is over.

Loved it

At first I wasn't so sure I would like simply because it's a dramatisation and I wasn't used to listening to books recorded like this, but within a few minutes I was so engrossed by the story that I adjusted and got used to it. I just wished that this was the start to a series of books based on the main character an ex cop turned private eye and has plenty of twist and turns right till the end.
