Easiest course to follow for English speakers
Really liked the delivery, explanations and “shortcuts” to remembering patterns and similar groups of words. Have listened to 15-20 different french courses and found this easiest to follow. Also don’t mind repeating and listening over and again without getting too bored. Hoping for follow-on intermediate/advance courses maybe.

This is good but wasted opportunity!!!
Whilst I am learning from this and most of the reasoning and explanations are good. I feel Paul belabours some points so that at times I find myself switching off completely, it would be more benficial with variable examples.
Speaking of examples the over repetition of a few of the phases starts to get bloody annoying. He uses mother , father, camping, parking the eurostar, preparing the diner when someone knocking at the door 10,000 times or so it seems. Occational repetition would be fine but other words could easily be introduced to extend ones vocabulary. Esp. as ma and pa etc you know from the get go, they are no brainers and do not need to be constantly used. Other examples that we don't know or that are different or unfamilar would have been preferable and far more useful. I understand the use of repetition and spaced repition in learnig but small changes in the examples using other words would in my opionion have far greater educational benefit and impact . I find using the same samples makes it very difficult to not say them when I start to speak because they become ingrained and are difficult to change.

very useful.
I will listen to this over and over as it really does help with the learning. mainly focussed on verbs and tenses and some good phrases in an easy to follow way without feeling the need to follow a text book

Really Good Introduction to speaking French
Any additional comments?
I've wanted to learn French for ages but have found many teach yourself pretty dull - this audiobook gets you speaking and creating sentences really quickly and the teaching method makes remembering the stuff effortless - the rapid progress encourages you to keep going and I was disappointed when the course ended. My only slight criticism would be that some of the pauses where you are asked to answer questions were too short for so I had to use the pause button a fair bit which is a pain when you are driving but I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who wants to start learning French and knows practically nothing!

Learnt more in 4 hours than 4 years of high school
Mr Noble, I salute you. I was always embarrassed going abroad as another Brit who can't speak another language. Yes, I studied french at school and did ok but not using it for "many" years left me lacking confidence for anything beyond asking where the station is, I feel ill or saying I would like some bread.
Paul's approach just works and teaches practical things, even after just three and a half hours it's genuinely sticking in my head. I am amazed and excited to go to France now in September. I still have 3/4 of the book to go but it really does equip you, time will tell if its enough.
Enjoyable experience and inspiring too!

Excellent!
My 11 year old son and I are learning french with this method. We are really enjoying the experience. The chapters are clear, concise and the repetition makes learning relatively easy. Each day we spend more time than we planned listening as we don't want to stop learning! A first for my son! My son says he has learnt more in a couple of hours listening to this than two years of French in school!
I look forward to relearning my school Spanish next!

Starts of well
Starts of well then gets a bits complicated the French speaker basically speaks to quick and its hard to get the right sounds it's hard to keep up and has left me feeling frustrated. I have the book of unlocking french by Paul noble which is excellent I just find this audio book a bit fast if he would spell the words then pronounce them slowly it would be perfect I find the coffee break french podcast much easier way to learn and it's free.
