About this listen
During her morning exercise, yoga instructor Cam Saunders finds herself rescuing a young woman who has walked into the sea, seemingly intent on taking her own life. When the woman in question turns out to be a famous actress, Cam promises to keep her secret safe.
Six months later, America’s sweetheart Ella Temperley is working hard to get her life back on track, grieving the loss of her twin sister and fighting a deep depression. Despite her fame, she feels alone in the world and keeps thinking of the woman she owes her life to.
After Ella shows up in Cam’s life again, the two become closer than they ever imagined possible. But what happens when friendship turns into attraction? Living is a slow-burn coming-out romance about loss, love, and life.

Thought Provoking
Lise is one of those author's who can put the reader in the characters situation. It is Ella Temperley, a famous Hollywood actress, birthday. Having lost her twin she has decided to end it all by walking into the sea.
Cam Saunders, a Yoga instructor, watching this from her patio doors had other ideas. This is a touching story showing how 2 people who work in total circles can help each other with their problems. This is a slow burn romance but during the process we see how each character desks with their loss and how the outcome would impact on friends and relations.
This is a must read book that shows that if you do feel lonely and feel as though no one cares that you should talk to someone and seek help.

Highly recommended!!!
The story was a completely new take on a celebrity romance. After reading the plot I kind of expected the story to be sad and heavy but it wasn't. It was very sweet and funny and left me feeling good about life.
Lise Gold wrote an exceptionally great book and TJ Richards did an amazing Job narrating it.

Wonderful story, great narration
Living is one of my favorite books this year, probably in my Top 5. I wouldn’t have read it again so soon since I remembered a lot, yet when the audiobook came out, narrated by TJ Richards, I couldn’t wait.
There’s something about Lise Gold’s books, some sort of inherent hope that makes even the most seemingly desperate situations feel like they can be overcome. Ella lost her twin sister to an accident two years ago. Her life has felt meaningless and empty since, and she’s convinced she can’t pretend anymore. Cam rescues her right in time. Not only does she take care of her, she doesn’t care that she’s famous, which makes Ella feel even safer, and, later on, loved.
There are many layers to this novel. It’s a reflection on mental health and how important getting help and finding the right therapist is but it’s also a celebrity romance, with Ella being a famous Hollywood actress who has to deal with an almost complete lack of privacy.
I really like TJ Richards’ narration style, and she did a great job here, once more. I never had any doubt as to who was talking (which happens too often), she had very distinctive and fitting voices for all the characters, especially the main ones. And there are small things that make the narration stand out, the way the characters breathe, the hesitations in their voices at times, very subtle details that make it really excellent. It’s especially true for Ella, I think.

Good ole fashion love story
Loved the characters and was captivated from the start.
The book dealt sensitively with issues of mental health interwoven with a romance.
All I can say is I'm looking for a yoga teacher now!!
Beautifully written, with descriptions which really place you in the scene.
This is the second Gold book I have listened too and it didn't disappoint.

Starts off brilliantly
I loved this story from the outset but sadly the more I listened the less enthralled I became and I don’t know why.
Mental health and suicide and coming out are all challenging topics to write about and were handled well. I loved Ella but I think I was not so keen on Cam, which I think is why I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I anticipated I would from the beginning.
