Nice guy finishes first.

Didn't think I'd be crying and laughing, but did. Knew little about Joe at the start, by the end he feels like a pal you wish you had. Along with his flawless narration, the production is top of the line.
The book brings home the often precarious nature of working in radio/TV. He brings characters to life vividly and there are plenty of lessons to cherish from his experiences.
His family sound magnificent, and it'd have been good to hear his wife, Ann, talking about events from her perspective; they seem well-matched and I sensed her hand on the book in no small way.

I'll be listening to it all again real soon.
