Marcus Barton tells the story, and his voices for the characters are spot on! There is a lot of people, from old to young, distraught, dangerous and passionate, and each one holds the perfect sound. I like his cadence, it's easy to listen to and he amazing at building the suspense. He made this listen fly by and I will be watching for more.

A great start to what will be a fabulous romantic and suspenseful series.
Rafe Cross is ex military and now working for Maverick security is brought in to be a consultant on a case in the small town he grew up in,when bones are found.
The realisation that the bones could be a woman who went missing 18 years ago..Tessa his ex girlfriend.
Bree O Neal is Sheriff in the town she grew up in and will do anything to protect the people who live there...Then bones are found and a murder mystery begins..
Discovering the bones is not only the disconcerting thing about this case because the man she has always had feelings for Rafe Cross is consulting on the case.
They will have to come together to try to solve the mystery of whose bones have been unearthed she will have to remain professional..But trying to hide her attraction to Rafe is not going to be easy.
Little does Bree know is that Rafe is feeling exactly the same as she is...their chemistry is obvious and it is only a matter of time before their passion ignites.
When more people begin to die.Its a race against time to find the killer because Bree is now the target to be his next victim.
I really enjoyed listening to this story..It did take me a little bit to get into the book but once I did and understood what was going on..I was hooked.
The Narration by Marcus Barton flowed easily and I thought he did and amazing job at playing all the characters in this story.
His voice was effortless and great to listen to.
Lone Star Rescue is a very intriguing story that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Delores Fossen's writing grabs your attention until the end.

Rafe Cross has retired from the military after a rescue went wrong. He is now part of Ruby Maverick’s group. When a body is found the Maverick group send him. The body that is uncovered is that of his former girlfriend. While the father of Tessa is at the burial site, his high school friend Sheriff Bree O’Neil arrives. The three were had been friends and it is eighteen years since Tessa went missing. Ruby had always had a crush on Rafe. Unknown to her he felt the same.
While at the grave site an explosion nearly destroys the bones and another body. That is the start of the brilliantly paced book. With more bodies turning up. Secrets and past histories come to light. Its a race against time to find the killer because Bree is now the target to be his next victim.
Rafe and Bree work together at the same time keeping the chemistry uncontrol.
Action, suspense and heat. Perfect.
