What I like mostly about this series is the narrator…..Jonathan Keeble! He puts so much into the stories it’s incredible, who needs a tv! The stories by David Jackson are awesome…..truly gripping. On to the next one now……

I have listened to many audiobooks,& the narrator Jonathan Keeble. I can listen to his normal voice quite happily. When he narrates as a female, immediately it spoils the entire story. He portrays womens voices as harsh, brash, impatient & surly, always the same in every book, & in the same dialect. Why not have a female to read the parts of a female? Sorry,but it just so irritating to listen to.

really enjoy the characters and banter between them. the build up in 1-4 was excellent and this continues the situation Cody is in adding in plot points you can see creating situations agead. more believable than a lot of DS/DCI stories.

David Jackson is one of my favourite authors but this is not his strongest book with DI Cody as the main character. However some of the dialogue is very witty in places and had me laughing out loud! Worth a listen.
