Summary
In October of 2017 cocky, alpha-male Irishman, Colin Campbell, sergeant in charge of the special assault unit of the University of Virginia Campus Police Force, dove in front of a bullet meant for a University of Virginia student. The bullet shattered his thigh and severed his femoral artery, a wound which nearly took Colin’s life and left him temporarily disabled. His infirmities robbed him of the strength and athletic prowess which had been his for most of his life leaving him humiliated and bereft.
His partner, Joshua Abrams, a doctor of psychology at the Rainier Clinic in Charlottesville, never once left his injured lover’s side. He poured every ounce of strength and love he possessed into healing the magical Irishman whom he adored and was overwhelmed with relief and gratitude when Colin was taken off the critical list. Thinking that they had survived their trial, he took Colin home, believing that their happiness was now assured.
But like many injured police officers, Colin subsequently withdrew from his partner. Overwhelmed by feelings of shame and embarrassment, he devoted himself almost obsessively to the physical therapy with which he hoped to rebuild his strength and reclaim the life he had lost. Unable to share his pain and feelings of inadequacy, he shut Joshua out, leaving him to cope alone with the post-traumatic stress he suffered as a result of Colin’s shooting.
In the following months Colin and Joshua fought to keep their relationship alive. Although deeply in love, they felt powerless to cope with the after-effects of Colin’s injuries both to his body and to his pride as a man, and to heal the emotionally devastating PTSD with which Joshua suffered.
Love’s Glory tells the story of this painful and challenging time in Colin and Joshua’s life. As we join them now, Colin is still walking with a cane and still suffering the physical after effects of his injuries. But he and Joshua are both in therapy and are now dealing positively with the emotional and psychological damage they both endured.
They face their future side by side, determined to stand or fall together, as soul mates and lovers. This book follows them on their journey as they move toward the happy future they both long to share. They have moments of anxiety and intense emotion, but you can count on a happy ending. In fact, you can count on a happy listen. In this book, Colin and his beloved Joshua have left their trials behind and now revel in Love’s Glory.
This book contain mature content including explicit sexual relations between Colin and Joshua.

More Josh and Colin!
I loved visiting with Josh and Colin again. Seeing them overcome the obstacles and emotional challenges of Colin's injury to now working towards their wedding and then finally being husband's. This was a beautiful story with all the passion, love and stubbornness we know and love from Colin (& Josh). Their wedding was beautiful and their honeymoon so touching. I love these two and really do feel they were made for each other.
it wouldn't be a complete Janice story without a little emotional healing and growth and they face this together in Ireland.
A beautiful story for a much loved couple!
Walker does a fantastic job narrating and keep the consistency going across all books, characters and accents. Great work!
Another real story for a beautifully honest series!

Lovely conclusion to a great series
I have enjoyed Janice Jarrell’s Revolutionary Heart series from the beginning. The series started with a focus on David and Nathan, but soon Colin and Joshua were introduced and their story eclipsed the others’. I’m not sure if this was always the author’s intention, or if this is the direction the stories took her. Regardless, it works.
This story picks up from where the last left off. Joshua is settled in his job as a psychologist, and Colin is still working as a cop, only he’s riding a desk because of his injury. He was shot protecting a student. He’s still resentful of the speed of recovery, but he’s adapting. The Irish in him still has a temper, to be sure. He’s applied for law school, and it looks like he’s going to get in, so that means big changes in their lives.
Perhaps the biggest one of all is just around the corner – they’re getting married. I was happy for them and fascinated to watch the blending of two very different religions – Judaism and Catholicism. It…worked. I also learned quite a few things about those religions and when I learn something new, I find extra value in a book.
The honeymoon to Ireland was also fun. And poignant. Colin hasn’t really dealt with the suicide of his beloved sister Kathy, and this is his chance to do so. With Joshua at his side, it seems all things are possible.
I enjoyed this book. It was low-angst, low-drama, and yet a lovely story. A happily ever after.
I’ll quickly say a word about Walker Williams. He’s done a great job with the series, including all the Irish with Colin’s family. I can recommend this book, as well as the entire series. Well done.

I really love Colin and Josh!
I have to confess that I didn't read this book when it first came out even though I purchased a copy. Why? Because I wanted to listen to the audiobook so much that I decided to wait for it. I have loved every one of Janice Jarrell's books that Walker Williams has done. He truly has captured the essence of the characters in the ongoing love story of John and Colin.
Now, when I say "ongoing love story" don't take that to mean that the books have cliffhangers because they don't. Revolutionary Heart is definitely a series that you will get more out of if you start at the beginning, but I don't think you absolutely have to. I think Love's Glory reads very well as a standalone book.
I was lucky that I got to listen to Love's Magic shortly after it was first released as an audiobook. Before that I wasn't familiar with Janice Jarrell's writing. That story captivated me so much that she had a new fan. I love her writing but I also think Walker Williams gets a lot of the credit for getting me hooked. That first book was intense and he had me totally captivated right from the start.
Love's Glory is about the aftermath of Colin's devastating injury but, like it says in the excellent and detailed blurb, it is a pretty low angst story. I don't think it's a spoiler to say that Colin gets to show Josh his beloved Ireland and that was one of my favorite parts.
There was just so much to love about this story. As with the other books in this series, it brought out a lot of different emotions – my favorite kind of book. Janice Jarrell has created a world with characters I will be happy to visit again and again and again…
I sincerely hope that more of Janice Jarrell's books will be coming out as audiobooks – especially if Walker Williams will be performing them.
A copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
