The narration is wonderful and the book is wonderful and once again Elizabeth Strout has excelled with her incredible writing. I loved this and am really sad I have finished it. Fabulous.

I enjoyed the book, it took me right back to the start of the awful pandemic and made me think what an awful time it was not just for me in my small corner but for everyone in the world.
Although it tended to drag a little in the final chapters it was an enjoyable listen especially since ironically I was isolating at home with covid at the time!

I loved this. Have listened to it, then went to the book and then back to the audiobook. Lucy is such a wonderful character and the narration evokes her warmth, love and humble wisdom beautifully. As she navigates her way through the confusion and fear of the unfolding pandemic and the contradictions and conflicting experiences of modern-day America, Lucy provides a medium for us to process and reflect on our own experiences. Wonderful.

The voice of the narrator is filled with empathy and tenderness - the story has much humanity as an older woman escaping from
New York for the first year of the pandemic, capturing the stress and strangeness and surprising intimacies of the time .

I have loved all of her books, but I think this is particularly special.
Her reflections on the struggles of life during the pandemic struck such a chord. I found it amazing that ‘Lucy in the USA’ could well have been so many women here in the UK.
The narration added to the poignancy. I felt a great sense of loss as soon as the last words were spoken

A very heart felt and honest novel involving family and friends relationships during the past couple of years. I enjoyed this book immensely. Listening to the story read by Kimberley Farr was a bonus. She is superb.
