About this listen

Sold by her father to an unknown man, Ruby heads west to the unknown. There she finds nothing but pain and misery, yet even in the gloom there is one shining light.

Ruby Cloisters' father is a man in debt - a man being beaten by men wanting their money. In desperation, he agrees to sell one of his three daughters to a cowboy out west. The money will pay off their debts.

Ruby, being the eldest, says that she will go, to protect her younger sisters.

When she arrives, she finds that she has been sold to the local cattle rustlers. There is no kindness. No mention of love. Fortunately, the town is currently without a pastor, and so the wedding cannot go ahead until the new one arrives.

However, when the sheriff arrives to investigate some stolen cattle, Ruby immediately feels hope. Can the sheriff really help her? And whose side is the strange Native American ranch hand really on?

This is the third book in the Summer Hope Series. Emma Ashwood writes clean Western romance.
