About this listen
Culter Fuller came back into my life on the day my mother died, as if losing my mother wasn't bad enough.
We hated each other since childhood. Well, I hated him, and I thought it was mutual. He had a very different story.
When I moved to my dad's house to finish my last semester of high school, we went from bitter enemies to...something else. He was suddenly everywhere, occupying my space, determined to pull me into his life, filling me with thoughts I knew were wrong.
I knew that soon we would cross a line that should never be crossed.
I knew crossing that line could have very serious consequences; because Culter Fuller wasn't just any irresistible boy, Culter Fuller was my stepbrother.
But, I was always very bad at making the right choices.

A sweet, romantic story. This is a book that teens and young adults will certainly enjoy. I think I was expecting more drama and conflict involving the adults' reactions to Cassie's romantic relationship with her step brother but the story concentrated more on the build up to it along with the trials and tribulations of fitting in to a new school and making new friends.I do recommend it for older teens only due to the prolific use of the 'f' word and the mature situations these high school students find themselves in.I voluntarily reviewed a copy gifted to me.Really enjoyed

This story is very emotional. The challenges of family life coupled with the loss of a beloved parent along with the general experiences of being on the cusp of adulthood add layers of depth to the plot. I enjoyed the development of Cassie and Culter's romance. To be honest, it is hard not to have a little crush on Cutler
who projects a wonderful supportive and protective warmth for his newly displaced step-sister and, as it turns out, long time love.
Maureen Hoff's narration matches this genre. She brings the story and characters alive, placing the reader smack dab in the middle of the action.
