Summary

Mama Can't Raise No Man is a unique and eye-opening exploration of black masculinity. Brimming with intelligent and thought-provoking ideas, it cleverly challenges different definitions of manhood whilst remaining an engaging, witty and at times laugh-out-loud funny audiobook.

Wow! A must-read

Brilliant, authentic and important. This is a book which should be on the national curriculum. I encourage everyone to read it. If you’re interested in the violence happening on our city streets this will give you a deeper understanding (together with Robyn Travis’s first book) but it’s also a universal story of relationships, forgiveness, sexual politics and growth.

Excellent Audio Book

Loved it from beginning to end - it kept me on the edge of my seat. Often I lose interest because of the way a book is read this was fabulous. Really enjoyed it thank you.
