Highly recommend

A different way to see the world, the people in it and yourself. A truly mind blowing perspective which will make you challenge your own self-limiting beliefs and silence your inner critic. Highly recommend listening to this book and seeing where it takes you!

Alter your beliefs and change your performance

Lou Tice is an interesting man. Formerly a Football Coach in Washington he delivers his subject in a very hands on, practical way with lots of easy to grasp and accessible examples . I first encountered him after attending a course run by The Pacific Institute in the early 1990s and many of the concepts have stayed with me ever since. It's a simple idea - if you change what you think about then the pictures and actions and therefore your performance levels will, over time, also change. I have also listened to Roger Dawson's book - Beyond Goals that approaches the same subject from a behavioural point of view -that I found less accessible and for me less helpful. Tice's theoretical framework is surely not brand new but his unique style and delivery anchored with his background working with the disadvantaged , bereaved and also many athletes give this book a very practical angle. It's at times quite amusing but the sincerity and power comes through time and time again so I do recommend you give this book a listen if you are at all interested in the subject. I would be interested to to hear of any recommendations from other listeners on this subject.
