About this listen
Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay is a romantic, funny and pause-resisting new novel about love and friendship from Jill Mansell, best-selling author of The One You Really Want and You and Me, Always. Perfect for anyone who loves Lucy Diamond, Milly Johnson and Katie Fforde.
Love is in the air in St Carys, but you'd never know it - the people of this seaside town are very good at keeping secrets....
The man Clemency loves belongs to someone else. She has to hide her true feelings - but when she ropes in an unsuspecting friend to help, wires start to get crossed.
For the first time in Ronan's life his charm has failed him in winning over the woman he wants. Loving her from afar appears to be his only option.
Belle seems to have the perfect boyfriend, but something isn't quite right. And now a long-buried secret is slowly rising to the surface.
The truth has a funny way of revealing itself, and when it does St Carys will be a very different place indeed....

Lovely romance with interesting characters
A lovely story with a good narrator makes this an easy book to listen to. Enough twists in the story to stop it being predictable.

Perfect listen
I loved listening to this book. The narrator was brilliant with the different voices and very easy to listen to. I could imagine myself and the characters actually in the Cornish village and wanted to listen all in one go, although I didn't! Bell had a brilliant twist whilst other characters you could predict what was going to happen but in no way did it detract from the story for me, I loved it! 😊

Unsure at start, but enjoyed overall
If you're into chick lit, I reckon it's a safe bet you will enjoy this book.
At the beginning I was thinking 'this seems a bit cheesy' and was unsure if I could keep listening. I am glad I did though, it's quite an interesting and soothing listen (apart perhaps from the narrator's voice for the character Belle) and a good low-intensity read. Was quite fond of the characters by the end.

Had me gripped from start to finish
Audio books are still new to me and this is my second Jill Mansell one, in the past month or so, narrated by Imogen Church. I loved This Could Change Everything, particularly the character of Zillah. This one also did not disappoint. I tend to only listen when I'm walking my dogs or doing the food shop, but both of these books caused me to listen at other times too. When I first started listening to this though I had to wonder where Cornwall was going to come into it as I was somewhat thrown by the first chapter. I wasn't kept waiting long though and as the story progressed, the more I fell in love with the characters. This is such a charming story, which tackles many different issues, come difficult and unexpected and some not. Not only have I fallen in love with the way that Jill Mansell writes, but also the way Imogen Church narrates. Long may their now, hopefully fruitful, relationship continue. A must listen to in my book at least. Happy Listening.
