About this listen
When photojournalist Kelly Sheffield is offered the chance to travel to Greenland for coverage of American science teams, she grabs it. Not only is it a dream assignment, it also means she'll have a chance to reconnect with the compelling Jordan Westgate, the glaciologist studying the melting ice cap.
Jordan hasn't forgotten Kelly, nor has she forgotten that she'd found it hard, all those years ago, to firmly reject the inappropriate overtures from a student. This Kelly - self-assured, successful, and even more attractive - is a threat to Jordan's equilibrium, something she simply can't allow.
Kelly finds the frozen landscape a match for Jordan's chilly attitude. But Greenland is a surprising land of beauty and danger where even the iciest heart can melt.

Layered story
This story contains story lines from the distant past, the recent past and present day which all tie in together. This was my first Robbi McCoy novel and I’d definitely read another.

Worth a listen.....
AW is one of my fave narrators. The audiobook is good but does (as so often happens) rush to a finish at the end.
I will probably listen to this again in the future.

I really enjoyed this book. Great characters, vivid description of the landscape and nature. Wonderful historical twist, the dichotomy of the story with science and myth. Delightful, unexpected and looking out for more by this author.

Highly recommended
Robbi McCoy has 'mistressed' epic with this magnificet book. Greenland's breathtaking beauty, fascinating history and geology create engaging stories which are woven together with human dynamics, psychological insight and saphic love.
A couple of slight criticisms: the story would have been better if some of the descriptions were condensed/omitted and the listening experience improved if the narrator, Anastasia Watley who over all was very good, had brought a little more liveliness and feeling, plus more voices to differentiate the characters, into her narration.
Despite the slight criticisms above, I highly recommend this wonderful audiobook. It is definitely one for my favourites and to listen to again. I very much hope that Audible will produce more audiobooks by this talented author Robbi McCoy.

too much waffle
I read the reviews and decided to give it a listen, but it was like wading through wet cement, I had to give it up during Chapter 16. Not sure what the author envisaged but I just did not get it. Each to their own.
