About this listen

Holden Worthington's globetrotting days are over. Once the host of a popular adventure show, he hasn't ventured past his own front door in more than a year. Then the arrival of a sexy new gardener sparks something Holden hasn't felt in a very long time - an interest in the world outside his window.

Holden tries to resist the attraction. But painfully shy yet definitely interested Adam Morgan has Holden longing to conquer his debilitating anxiety and live again. After a grisly discovery on the grounds of the estate, the town of Smithfield turns a suspicious eye on the reclusive Holden - and the two men must trust in each other to bring the truth out in the open.

wonderful comedy of errors and murder mystery

I don’t think I can do this wonderful comedy of errors murder mystery justice. So much happens in in amongst it all Holden finds himself falling from lust into love with Adam.
Shannon Gunn’s narration is wonderful. His characterisation of Holden reminds me of Uncle Arthur from the original Bewitched (that shows my age!) but from that voice I had such a great picture of Holden. Adam was pretty great as well. If in doubt listen to the sample because it’s a character you’ll either love or hate. Me I love it.

Hilarious narration, great murder mystery

I so enjoyed Shannon Gunn's characterisations of Holden and the sultry gardener Adam. This was a well-written, and plotted murder mystery. I'm downloading the other books in this series now.
