I was a great warrior who wandered this land before being killed by an ageless tyrant wizard-king. I was a warrior of a very different sort, who lived in a city of steel and glass.
In this life, I’m more than I was–stronger, more powerful, more dangerous. But that wizard-king still lives, and he’s still hunting me.
All I have is my sword and my skills. So I’ll gather the gold, weapons, and women I need, and if that wizard gets in my way again...our next meeting will be very different from the last.

The story begins with the MC waking up in a stone coffin where he unsure of who he is and has the fractured memories of two individuals, one being a renowned warrior of Empyrea (The land which the story is centered in) and the other a lawyer from Earth.
He uses the knowledge he retains from both individuals to survive, whether it be against wild beasts in the wild. or negotiation with an Orc tribe. Once he and the female lead leave the orc is when I really became invested in the story as they join a caravan as guard and begin to explore the world as large.
This was the first time I have listened to anything narrated by Byron Ormond & Kat Riley and thought they both did a good job. Each characters had a distinct accent and never had any issue knowing who was speaking in each scene.
