Summary
Liam Davenport is the most infuriating man I’ve ever known – and he’s my boss.
Worse, he’s undeniably sexy. At least until I’m subject to one of his trademark sighs of disapproval. I’m counting the days until I can walk away from this job. But first, I need to survive the trip from hell he’s dragged me on. One entire week with his arrogant smile and my unexpected naughty thoughts.
I might get fired.
He just might be worth it.
Kendall Tate is the most distracting woman I’ve ever met – and she’s my assistant.
She’s irritatingly clever, and much too nice for the likes of me. I need to remain professional, even if the smell of her strawberry lip gloss is my kryptonite. No matter how much I want her, Kendall is off limits.
Growing closer to her might be a mistake.
I might just take the risk.
Full length standalone book with no cliffhanger. First book of the Miss series.
Miss Understanding is for mature audiences due to steamy bedroom scenes that are in no way contained to just the bedroom.

A brilliant book!
Miss Understanding Audio Book by Aubrey Bondurant is the first book in the Miss Series. This is fantastically entertaining book that had everything you could want. I thought the heroine was so amusing. Her inner musings had me smiling to myself on plenty of occasions.
Although entertaining, I liked that the story had a deeper side to it. There was a depth to it that I didn’t quite expect when I started listening to it. I was drawn in completely and kept finding excuses to start listening to the book again. I thought that the two narrators did a great job of creating a vivid picture. It felt like they each captured the essence of the character and brought them to life.
I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to listen to more!

Fabulous!
I loved this story. The melting of Liam, and the strength and kindness of Kendall and the story itself, all worked in a way which made this a nom-stop listen for me. Christopher Rourke and, particularly, Ariel Royce, were fabulous narrators. I particularly felt that Ariel's delivery was nuanced and warm. This audio has been an absolute pleasure to listen to 💗💗💗💗💗

4-star listen for my first Bondurant listen
My first encounter with Ms. Bondurant’s work and these 2 narrators was a good one. I am used to very steamy and practically insta-love romances and don’t seek out slow burns. But every now and then one ends up in my ears or in front of my eyes because of a favorite trope. In this case it was the office romance that got me. And I really liked this one. I am a very slow listener/reader and finished this one in 2 days. That’s superquick for me because I couldn’t stop listening. Every minute I had I would listen and loved how the story between Liam and Kendall developed. Sometimes I wanted to shake Liam but he redeemd himself at the end.
The narration was very pleasant. I do rhink the male narrator sounded familiar so it may be a pseudonym for a narrator I’ve already listened to and that’s fine by me! The next books in the series are narrated by the same narrator duo and I have already placed them on my audio wishlist.

A brilliant book
Kendall is working for a jerk, he is rude, opinionated and just the boss from hell, but there is just something that makes him irresistible from her dreams and fantasies.
Liam is trying to resist his new assistant but the more he works with Kendall the more he fantasies about the strawberry lip gloss.
This story is hot and passionate, there is a slow burn at the beginning but these two fiery characters spark they set the speaker alive. The two character voices really suit these two characters and it feels like you are in the main conversations and passion that is put into the words on the page makes it really engrossing and will have you listening well into the night.
I love Aubrey's books and this audiobook is no exception, I may go back and listen to some of her other books which I read just to see if there is another aspect of the story I have missed. Thank you Aubrey.

A great discovery
Omg! First book by Audrey Bondurant but certainly not my last. This office romance was very entertaining to listen to. I loved the dynamic between the Liam and Kendall and how he came to a better version of himself in an effort not to lose her.

Beautiful story
I was lucky enough to win an audible code for this office romance. Not normally what I would pick up but so glad I was introduced to this author and this series as I will be checking out more.
Liam or should I say Mr Davenport is the worst boss in the world and Kendall is the best assistant in the world. It’s not even her career passion but she does an amazing job for this idiot that can’t even bare to be on first name terms with her. Honestly I would be crying after some of the conversations they had.
Anyways as you can imagine it starts off this way but Liam slowly thaws his frosty attitude most due to Kendall as she so damn likeable. Great story with great characters. Will definitely be checking out more from this author and this series of stand alone stories.

Excellent storyline.
This book is really enjoyable. The characters are written very honestly. You will fall in love with their CleanCut images. It’s a sweet romance changing a hate relationship to a love relationship. Excellent performance from both Ariel and Christopher.

Enjoyable romance, easy to listen to
I loved this standalone story. It has everything you want for a boss/employee office romance. A loveable, hardworking assistant and a grumpy, workaholic boss.
Kendall has two jobs, attends night classes to finish her degree and spends weekends watching TV with her grandma. Liam is a work obsessed lawyer, with no work/life balance.
When Liam has to return to his hometown during an important case, he takes Kendall with him so he can continue to work.
I loved the thoughts Kendall had about her boss, her sarcastic thoughts and internal responses were highly entertaining.
Forced to spent time together, Liam starts to realise just how unappreciative he makes Kendall feel and this makes him think about how his actions are interpreted.
I really felt these two falling for each other as they spent more time together. It wasn't all hearts and roses and they were both forced to face their own issues around relationships and their own future happiness. The biggest change was Liam, he needed to deal with his own past in order to figure out what he wanted from his future. He tried so hard, but he was always putting his foot in his mouth when it came to Kendall.
The narration was easy to listen to. Having the duel voices definitely helped with switching points of view.
