I value Stephen's raw honest

Moab Is My Washpot is a frank, brutally honest, witty portrayal of Stephen's early life. Though often told with a whimsical undertone Stephen's takes the reader on an insightful and in-depth journey through his school years. I enjoy Stephen's writing style and his narration is excellent and easy to listen to.

I eagerly seek out narration by Stephen fry, and his own writings are equally as fantastic as his voice. an absolute riot of a read!

Great listen

verbose? of course!!
Having read other reviews, I see that listeners complain of this book being too wordy and verbose...For goodness sake, it's a Fry book! What else would one expect?? It completely met my expectations. Intelligent, deep, funny, oh not enough space here for the adjectives I need. Lots of words? Yes! But from the pen of the utterly listenable Stehen Fry, every one of those words, a gem.

Extraordinary
Fry’s almost brutal candidness about his first twenty years of life is utterly absorbing and entrancing. He’s a wonderful writer, too. I think, like his long-suffering family, I would forgive him any misdemeanour - especially as one day he would become General Melchett!! Totally recommended.

A gem for your ears
Listening to Stephen Fry tell his own stories is a pure bliss. Each line is voiced with authenticity one simply can not expect when reading a book. Each sarcastic notion, each of his unrelated musings is brought to light and brightened by Fry's voice and intonation.
The stories he tell will leave you laughing for day, while not without a harsh moral judgement. His love for language and words will entice you and will make you fall in love with every word you say.

Facinating
There is always something intimate about an author reading his own autobiography, and this one is certainly so. The book itself is fascinating enough, but Stephen's voice and narration take it to another level. Thoroughly enjoyed it and bought his second autobiography even before finishing this one just to prolong the listening experience.
