About this listen
From New York Times best-selling author Penelope Ward comes a new stand-alone novel.
The day I showed up to Dax Moody’s sprawling home, I had no idea what was coming. As a traveling massage therapist, I was used to entering the houses of strangers. But this assignment was different from any before it. From the outside, I’d correctly assumed the owner was rich. What I didn’t realize was that he would be younger than I’d imagined, single, stunningly gorgeous, and mysterious.
Despite the fact that Dax had booked a massage, it never actually happened, since our first appointment was unexpectedly cut short by a comedy of errors. Certain I’d never see him again after that day, I’d done nothing but think about the captivating man. To my surprise, he called a second time. That appointment, we talked a lot, developing a stronger connection. But once again, there was no actual massage. The man I now affectionately called “Moody” kept calling me to come back. It took three times before I finally gave him the massage he’d ordered. Let’s just say it was challenging to keep things professional. I was extremely attracted to Dax, and by that time, I was falling hard. Eventually, I’d find out why he’d been so aloof, the reason why he and I could never be together.
Our story was supposed to end there, but it didn’t. Instead, I was left perpetually longing for a forbidden man.

Loved it!
Loved it, loved it, what a wonderful story I was smitten right from the beginning, Dax and Wren were fantastic characters and the narrators were amazing! I just love to listen to Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, they are two of the best narrators in the business, they bring life to the characters and the whole story!
I highly recommend listening to this book.

Moody
Penelope Ward is one of my favourite authors and with Moody she's done it again. Pulled an all nighter with this novel. Loved it, especially Rafe!

I got annoyed with this couple but enjoyed the overall story.
It was a lovely start, but I wanted to shake them. Couldn’t he have just got on a plane? Anyway I did enjoy it.

Left a little unsure about this one
I have listen two several books by penelope ward. I tend to like her style. in this case most of the writhing was good, but the story dragged on for too long. I also missed a little bit of passion throughout the story. The narrators are great, I've listen to quite a few narrations by both of these narrators and I enjoy their style a lot.

All this kind of books have the same kind of twists and I was so happy that this took an unexpected turn to be more realistic. I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was very good written and performed

Loved it! Loved it so so much. Chapter 13.... the slow burn, the anticipation,... A definite read again and again - or listen again and again!

Boring
I enjoy slow burn romances but this one was really slow burn. They want it each other something happens they feel guilty, and on and on it goes. I only got upto chapter 12.
As usual Andi Arndt and Sebyo were great but unfortunately even they couldn't save this book for me.

DNF
I can’t put my finger on it, but the writing made me cringe. The oversharing and the constant “thank you for sharing that with me” had me feeling like I was in a group therapy session. The way she and her Dad discussed her relationship with Dax. It was all just a bit too much. It was also far too slow for my liking and I’m someone who enjoys slow burn romances. I even felt like the narrators felt uncomfortable.
