About this listen
I protect my pack at all costs-and I never fail.
The vampires have broken our tentative truce and are threatening to destroy my pack. At the center of their scheme is Sky, an enigmatic lone wolf, who they believe is a weapon that can be used against us.
Nothing about the quiet, doe-eyed brunette screams "danger" or "ruthless weapon." And that's the problem. My wolf's instinct says to protect her, especially after a necromancer tries to kill her, the vampires repeatedly attempt to abduct her, and we receive a dire warning about her.
But as more is discovered about the elusive lone wolf, I quickly realize she's more dangerous than she looks.
Can I neutralize the situation and protect her life, or do what I do best-protect the pack at all costs?

Read after Sky Brooks collection
It's nice to read this story from Ethan's point of view. I'd advise to read after the first lots of Sky Brooks books (from her P. O. V), because
first impressions of Ethan in that series are quite different to the subtle softness seen from the offset in this series....while the events from previous Sky books are revisited, I found it nice listening to the brilliant stories from Ethan's P. O. V when I knew where these stories lead ultimately.

Quite good
I liked the book better than from Skylars narrator who seemed to read through her nose at times. To see everything from Ethans pov is better in some way and I think I'll keep going though it'll cost me some credits 😅

Meh
I bought this becuase other Mckenzie fans had written how great it was to get Ethan's point of view...which it might be except that to me it feels like nothing new is added from the original book except tense: "I could see Ethan was angry" becomes "I was frustrated and angry" (or at least that's my impression...I haven't checked.
It feels more like a money making exercise than a book.... but then loads of people love it so maybe listen to them and not to me.
The narrator is also not my style at all.... he sounds like a particularly bad stereotype of a movie advert and when he does a South African accent it has no similarity at all to a South African accent. 5 minutes of research would really have helped.
As before though other people loved it... and you might be one of them.
