About this listen
These fourteen science fiction stories reveal Lem’s fascination with artificial intelligence and demonstrate just how surprisingly human sentient machines can be. Written in the form of grotesque folk fairy tales, these stories about robot kings, robot dragons, and robot scientists are brought to life by Scott Aiello.
©1977 The Seabury Press (P)2012 Audible, Inc.The stories are entertaining and worthy of extra thought after the tale is finished, however, after reading reviews I expected an additional dimension in the quality of writing. I read about amazing puns and beautiful poetry carrying through the translation to other languages. This I found to be missing in this translation, so, given my time again, I would read a different version.
