Summary
Layton:
As a biker, I've always loved the open road - and no man ever compared. I’ve mastered the quickie, the one-night stand, and I’m not into changing things up. Why mess with perfection?
When I roll into Snow Lake to take over my uncle’s mechanic shop, the last thing I want to do is settle down. Until I lay eyes on Grayson, who is not the kind of man suited for a one-night stand. He’s domestic as all hell, running his bakery and doing cute sh*t with his son all damn day. Not. My. Type.
But I can’t take my eyes off of him.
I never wanted this life - I always thought it was a trap. But Grayson, gorgeous and kind, is giving me a sweet tooth for his baked goods and all his other delights.
I just might want to make a home on this road where I’ve landed. If Gray is with me, I might fall in love with Snow Lake after all.
Grayson:
My partner left the minute Harry came into our lives. Ever since then, it’s been me and my boy, all on our own. I didn’t want to be a single dad, but Harry makes it all worthwhile. Sure, I’m not going on any dates, but romance can wait. I’m done with the heartbreak of losing my man, and I’m not pulling Harry into any relationship that won’t last forever.
That’s why Layton comes as a surprise. He’s everything I never wanted - a bad boy with bedroom eyes, and thighs muscled from gripping his motorcycle. He keeps showing up in my nighttime fantasies - and at my bakery every morning, looking like he wants to take a bite out of me.
When I slip up and let him get a taste, I know he’s all wrong. I can’t keep a man like Layton happy, and I need him out of my life for good. It’s too bad because I was a little bit in love.
I never imagined it would hurt so much to leave Layton behind - or that my sweet boy would want to have Layton around. I’ve never been the kind of guy to take a chance, but maybe this is the time to give it a try.

A very good start to a new (to me) series.
I really enjoyed this story! I loved the small town setting, it’s always one of my favourite as it makes me feel almost as i am a part of the community, as the various books go on…
Layton and Grayson are all in all good characters, but all in all, so indecisive for being two full-grown men. The push and pull from both MCs was a bit exhausting sometimes, but there are a lot of super cute, funny and sexy moments, which made the story very enjoyable.

Pastries!
Story: A cute story about second chances... and third and fourth too. A small town, two cute guys, kids and several neighbors, motorcycles, macarons, some other pastries and whatnots. It's a very entertaining story about discovering and rediscovering yourself, forging new paths and personal development above all. A piece of good writing!
Narration: I liked the narrator! It was a very pleasant voice that complimented the story well!

Brilliant start to a new small town series
Layton is new I town and has taken over his Uncles mechanic shop. Layton appears to be a “bad boy” biker.
Grayson is a single dad to his 5 year old son and is the owner of the local bakery. His husband left him when their son Harry’s first birthday.
The chemistry between Layton and Grayson sparks from their very first meeting. Although, they both have to work on some inner issues before that initial chemistry catches alight and then the heat factor turns up high.
I was engrossed with their journey from the very beginning and enjoyed watching them overcome their inner issues, and some outside influences, to finally get their HEA.
There is some minor angst, a cute 5 year old, nosy neighbours and some side characters that are very intriguing.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to more in the Hearts Of Snow Lake series.
The narration by Cam Walker is so wonderfully done. He was able to bring the characters to life for me. He’s a new to me narrator and I look forward to more from him.

Really enjoyed
I really enjoyed this book and the start of a new series. Both Layton and Grayson had insecurities though that they were both different which impacted their relationship with each and I enjoyed how they worked through them. Layton listens to his best friends words which strike fear into him when it hits home until he realises that change is not a bad thing after all. Grayson doesn’t want to let anyone else into his life until he meets Layton and struggles with that and the pain of Barry his ex leaving him.

Did not finish at 60%
I missed subtlety. It reads: "Grayson suddenly feels like an important figure in my life". Oooookay? Maybe some build-up, before telling us? Like "I would like Grayson to become more important in my life".
And this one:
"Hello Bo, may I introduce you to my neighbour Grayson." "Did he pop your cherry?" Bo and I were such good friends, we could tell each other everything...
Uuuuh... No. That is not a scene that proves to me Layton and Bo have intimate conversations.
Other annoyances: no arc. You have to imagine what these men hope for in the future yourself.
And a perfect cookie-cutter child. Yuk.
