Summary

Born into the factious world of war-torn Arabia, Muhammad's life is a gripping and inspiring story of one man's tireless fight for unity and peace. In a world where greed and injustice ruled, Muhammad created change by affecting hearts and minds. Just as the story of Jesus embodies the message of Christianity, Muhammad's life reveals the core of Islam. Deepak Chopra shares the life of Muhammad as never before, putting his teachings in a new light.

An accompanying PDF file chronicles Muhammad's life and genealogy.

Critic reviews

“[O]ne of the most imaginative and touching biographies of Muhammad….Chopra’s grasp of Muhammad’s life and mission extends his range in a surprising direction; his popularization is welcome.” ( Publishers Weekly)
“Compellingly told, this is not only good storytelling, it also helps readers, especially non-Muslims, better understand the complexities and contradictions surrounding Islam.” ( Booklist)

Beautifully scandalous

The first time I have listened to a biography of the prophet rather than being matter of fact but as a multi-faceted story. A really interesting lens to view a story of the greatest man that has ever lived.

Excellent story for Muslims and non Muslims

Well done in delivering an excellent audio book, which is a beneficial read for non Muslims and Muslims.

A great interfaith book.

Thanks

Average

I expected more and the book took a long time setting the scene of the time.

narrator

I just wish the narrating was done by someone else... couldn't finish it with the author's reading

Good start but inaccurate

I enjoyed the beginning but then he started saying incorrect things so I stopped
it is important to learn about the life of such a great man from the correct sources which would be the traditional scholars of Islam as their tradition is passed on generation by generation till it reaches the Prophet
I think the sealed nectar would be a better listen and more accurate

Great story but not factual

This is a story book.
A lot of half truths and it’s just not correct.

I get what he was going for but could’ve chosen nearly anyone in history.

Such a shame as I had such high hopes for this.

If you want to know the real story (which is very fascinating on its own) look up a good book about Muhammad (PBUH) written with the original accounts.
