About this listen
MumLife; noun: the inescapable swirling vortex of love, guilt, joy, annoyance, laughter and boredom that makes up the life of a mum.
Louise Pentland has been through a lot. From a traumatic birth with her first daughter, to single motherhood, to finding love again and having a second child, Louise's parenting journey has been full of surprises.
Discussing the realities most working mums face, plus the impact of maternal mental health, Louise is on a mission to make other mums feel less alone and very much heard. She beautifully reveals her own imperfect but perfect route to motherhood, as well as the loss of her mum so early in her life, how it shaped her and the mother she became.
Reflective, uplifting and with her signature hilarious wit, MumLife will share Louise's ups and downs, reflecting on her route to motherhood and what she has learnt along the way. This is the honest truth, from someone who's been there and experienced it all.
For each book sold Bonnier Books UK shall donate 1 percent of net receipts and Louise Pentland shall donate 100 percent of her royalties to the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, registered charity number 216401).

Nice autobiographical book about motherhood.
It's a nice little autobiography, based on specifically mum-related events. I found myself being able to relate to a fair amount (Although trigger warnings for traumatic births and abuse would have been nice... It's nice she's healed her traumas, not everyone is so lucky!). I found the first chapter quite tough, subsequently. But everything about this book, from how she wrote it to how she reads it, comes over very welcoming, open and friendly. Not sure why the other review claims she's just moaning about single mum life. It's just talking about her life, and being a single mother was an element for a while. The theme generally is about positivity, finding good and humor in things, finding footing and supporting each other. It was really nice, and I'd reccomend. And if you've got the plus catalogue, you can't complain because it isn't like you'll be paying should you decide her personality type isn't your cup of tea. Personally, I'll be listening all over again soon. Made me feel less alone, and more prepared to tackle my new life raising 3 preschoolers on my own. Encourages a lot of acceptance. Might have to find her on YouTube next. :)

Raw and honest - bring tissues
I listened to the full book in one day. Very comfortable listen with chatty and heartfelt narration by author Louise Pentland.
I laughed and cried with her as she shared her experiences, life lessons and wisdom.
Huge commendation to Louise for shining a light and speaking out on so many important but hard to talk about subjects: traumatic births, mental health and child abuse. She handles talking about these subjects very well, and with incredible bravery.

Funny,sad and everything else
This book made me laugh , cry and remember pelvic floor exercises are important.I can definitely say a book has never done all those things for me before.
It’s a great read and you don’t need to be a mum to enjoy I’m a 21 year old without any children and I though it was great and that it may help me prepare for one day when I want to have kids like what to expect and to remember I have rights over what happens to my body.

Amazing listen!
Wow Louise! What a listen. You’ve certain had a life to talk about so at. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your audio book. What an emotional listen. There were tears, more than once. I only discovered Louise this summer when she was promoting this book on TV and liked her instantly. This is a great story of MumLife with some harrowing, scary, sad and happy moments! Some bits relatable and (thankfully) some not. A story of lady who really should be proud of where she finds herself today 💕
