Summary
George Barrett is a detective in the Sioux Bend Police Department. For the first time in six years, George and his family are going on vacation to the most exclusive resort in the west—Moonlight Cove Resort in Wild River, Wyoming.
The first morning there, George and his daughter, Karen, go for a run. Near the end of the trail, Karen hears music. When she follows the sound, she discovers two young people tied to pine trees, with arrows in their stomachs. One victim was the son of the Lakota County sheriff and the other was the daughter of the executive director of Moonlight Cove.
Since the sheriff’s office didn’t have any active detectives, George’s vacation is cancelled, and he is tasked with solving the murders. While executing a search warrant, George and his partner discover a room filled with pictures of Tristan Collins, the resort director’s daughter, and the other victim. They soon learn that the apartment’s occupant, Dennis Gibson, wasn’t the one who took the pictures, but he wouldn’t tell them who did.
Who took those pictures and plastered them all over the walls? If it wasn’t Gibson, who was he protecting? Can George find out who killed the young couple?

Busmans Holiday.
After going on holiday for the first time in many years George and his daughter discover 2 bodies, as the local PD don't have a detective at the time George is drafted in to try and solve the murders. Well written and addictive listening. Highly recommended. Mark J. Royse's narration is excellent and brings the whole story to life.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the publisher and leave this honest review.

Entertaining Police procedural
An entertaining Police procedural, well written with an excellent opening sequence, suitably gruesome murders, good characters and well narrated. A police detective on holiday at Moonlight Cove stumbles upon two murder victims and is roped into the investigation. A good mix of police and family life with some office politics and rivalry thrown in. I found it easy to listen too and it had several good suspects, I missed the killer completely. Scott A Ferguson Sr is a new writer to me but one I will be reading again. Mark J Royce does an excellent job with the narration. I received a complimentary copy of the audio and an leaving a honest voluntary review

"A jeep and two dead bodies."
A tight and well developed murder story, When taking a long awaited fami?y holiday, George and his daughter find the bodies of Cody and Tristan tied to a couple of trees and shot to death by arrows.
Cody was the sheriffs son. With no detective in the area, George is co-opted to run the investor give team despite some internal jealousy and the annoyance of his wife.
A solid investigation and positive characters make this an involving read, well read by Mark Jayson Royce but with a slow narration which benefits at being downloaded and played back at the faster speed of 1.2 or even 1.3.
My thanks to the rights holder of Murder at Moonlight Cove who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary audio copy. It was an enjoyable read
