About this listen
In the small village of Kilbane, County Cork, Ireland, Natalie's Bistro has always been warm and welcoming. Nowadays twenty-two-year-old Siobhan O'Sullivan runs the family bistro named for her mother, along with her five siblings, after the death of their parents in a car crash almost a year ago. It's been a rough year for the O'Sullivans, but it's about to get rougher.
One morning, as they're opening the bistro, they discover a man seated at a table with a pair of hot pink barber scissors protruding from his chest. With the local garda suspecting the O'Sullivans, and their business in danger of being shunned. It's up to feisty redheaded Siobhán to solve the crime and save her beloved brood.

Fantastic Book Series

I like the way you slowly got to know the characters. Yes, some were Irish archetypes and situations, but you'd feel diddled if the village priest, the Irish bar (open all hours), the town drunk, the rendition of The Irish Rover, and the chap playing the spoons were not included.
I bought the second innthe series straight after.
Easy listening [murder!] mystery

Gripping, funny emotional everything in the right proportion. Good and long to get lots of time for detail, lots of good characters. I kept on trying to figure out who done it but I was wrong right until the end. Super story. I am going to read it all again now. To catch up with the clues I didn't notice the first read. I loved the whole thing. Gold Star for effort!
Well written beautifully read!

A murder has been committed in a small Irish village….. Shocking.
Siobhan takes it upon herself to find out who the murderer is. It’s her brother James that has been accused and she knows it isn’t him. Even if he doesn’t! He was very drunk that night.
The murder was also supposed to have happened in her Bistro.
McFarrah the guarda of the village and Siobhan join forces and investigate.
All the while having a romantic interest in each other but trying to get this urgent matter out of the way first.
Siobhan’s friend Courtney is then killed also!
Bridie who lives in the village causes suspicion throughout and Siobhan is watching her.
It turns out Nile the man that was killed was a blackmailer. He was blackmailing a couple that had an affair together for £10,000 each.
Now I’ve never liked. Full spoiler so this is where I will leave you!
My opinion of the book is that it’s an overall good story but a lot of the book is he said, she said and no action.
If I knew then, what I know now. I wouldn’t purchase this book.
